Time Frame and Filtering

Overview

When creating a saved search, you can configure several filters to refine your results. These filters work alongside your boolean keywords to ensure you get relevant, actionable content.

Time Frame (Lookback Period)

The time frame setting controls how far back Trigify looks when running your search. Every time the search runs, it looks back over this window for new posts.

Option

What It Does

When to Use

Last 24 hours

Only returns posts from the past day

High-volume topics where you only want the freshest content

Last week (default)

Returns posts from the past 7 days

Most use cases. Good balance of recency and coverage.

Last month

Returns posts from the past 30 days

Medium-volume topics or when you want broader coverage

All time

No time restriction on results

Niche topics with low volume, or initial research

The time frame is the lookback period, not how often the search runs. For example, a search running Daily with a Last week time frame will check the last 7 days of posts every day. This overlapping coverage ensures no posts slip through between runs.

Start with "Last week" and adjust based on the volume of results. If you get too many, narrow to "Last 24 hours". If too few, try "Last month" or "All time".

Job Title Filter

Available for Business Network (LinkedIn) searches. This filter restricts results to posts authored by people with specific job titles.

  • Type a job title and press Enter to add it

  • Add up to 6 job titles per search

  • Examples: "Software Engineer", "Product Manager", "VP Sales"

Example: If you are monitoring "sales automation" keywords, add job titles like "VP Sales" and "Head of Revenue" to focus on decision-makers rather than general commentary.

Content Type

An optional filter to narrow results by the format of the content. Select from the dropdown or leave it empty to include all content types.

Sort By

Controls the order results appear in your feed. The default is Date Posted, which shows the most recent posts first.

Max Number of Results

Sets the maximum number of results returned per search run. The default is 50. You can increase or decrease this using the number input.

Credits are charged per post returned (1 credit per post). If you set a max of 100 and 100 posts match, that run costs 100 credits. Set this limit thoughtfully to balance coverage with credit usage.

Feed-Level Filters

In addition to search-level filters (set during creation), the main feed has two filters:

  • Time filter ("Anytime" dropdown): Filter the feed view by date range

  • Search filter ("All searches" dropdown): Show results from one specific search or all searches

These feed filters do not change your saved search configuration. They only affect what you see in the current view.
