Keyword Matching
Overview
When a saved search runs, Trigify checks posts for your keywords using exact keyword matching and substring matching. If your keyword appears in the content (either as a standalone word or as part of a larger word), the post is returned as a match.
Exact Keyword Matching
Trigify looks for your keywords exactly as you typed them. If the keyword appears in the post body, title, or headline, the post matches.
Your boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT) apply to these exact matches
Matching is case-insensitive, so "Sales Automation" and "sales automation" both match
Trigify scans the main body of the post and any titles or headlines
Substring Matching
Trigify also matches your keyword when it appears as part of a longer word. This means you do not need to list every variation of a term.
Substring matching means "automate" will match any post containing the letters "automate" in sequence, including words like "automated" or "automating". Keep this in mind when choosing short keywords that could appear inside unrelated words.
Tips
Choose keywords that are specific enough to avoid noise but broad enough to capture the conversations you care about. Since Trigify uses substring matching, shorter keywords will match more variations but may also return less relevant results.
