Jarvis AI Best Practices
Learn how to build clear, actionable workflows that Jarvis AI can execute perfectly every time.
1. Be specific about the trigger
Bad | "Create workflow" |
Okay | "Trigger workflow when new posts come through" |
Best | "Trigger workflows on new posts from my 'Brand Mentions' saved search" |
2. Describe the flow/logic clearly
Use structure like:
"If X happens, do Y"
"Then wait Z hours"
"Branch based on condition A"
Number your steps (1, 2, 3...)
Good Request
"Build a workflow that:
Triggers on new LinkedIn posts
Enrich the author's profile
If they work at a tech company, send to Slack
Wait 2 hours
Why it works
β Numbered steps
β Clear sequence (1β2β3β4β5)
β Condition stated ("If tech company")
β Timing included ("Wait 2 hours")
β Actions are specific ("send to Slack")
That's it! Simple, structured, easy to follow. π
3. Mention Integrations Upfront
Examples:
"Send to Slack channel #alerts"
"Create HubSpot contact"
"Add to Attio list"
This helps Jarvis know what connections you'll need!
4. Specify Timing/Delays
"Wait 2 hours before..."
"Send immediately"
"Delay 1 day then..."
5. Define Conditions Clearly
Bad | "If sentiment is negative" |
Okay | "If AI detects negative sentiment, send alert; otherwise skip" |
Best | "Branch: Negative β Slack alert, Positive/neatral β Save to sheetsβ |
6. Name It (Optional but Helpful)
Call it 'Lead Enrichment Workflowβ let me Jarvis suggest a name!
This is helpful when referencing later on if you want to edit and keeping organised.
β Perfect Workflow Request Example
Build a workflow that:
Triggers on new posts from my 'Competitor Mentions' saved search
Enriches the author with AI (get company, title, LinkedIn)
If they're a VP or above at a company with 100+ employees:
Create HubSpot contact
Send Slack message to #sales-leads
Otherwise, add to my 'Low Priority Leads' google sheets
Name it 'Competitor Intelligence Pipeline'
π« What to Avoid:
β Vague: "Make a workflow for leads"
β Missing logic: "Do something with negative posts"
β No trigger: "Analyze sentiment and send to Slack" (from where?)
π‘ Pro Tips:
Use emojis/bullets (like you did!) - makes it super clear
Mention if it's editing existing vs. creating new
Tell me if you want draft mode or live immediately
Ask for workflow templates if you're not sure what's possible
