Overview

Search frequency controls how often Trigify runs a saved search to find new matching content. Each run checks the selected source, applies your query and filters, then adds new matches to the Listening feed.

Default frequency

New social listening searches default to Every 12h (twice a day). This is a balanced default: frequent enough to keep results fresh without running as aggressively as hourly monitoring.

Common frequency options

Frequency

Premium?

Use when

Hourly

Yes

You need near-real-time monitoring and accept higher usage.

Every 12h

No

A balanced default for most saved searches (twice a day).

Daily

No

You want fresh results once a day for active topics.

Weekly

No

You are tracking slower-moving topics or want lower usage.

Monthly

No

Low-urgency, long-horizon research topics.

Quarterly

No

Occasional sweeps where freshness is not a priority.

Hourly is a premium feature. Hourly monitoring requires an Enterprise plan. On other plans it appears with a crown icon and prompts an upgrade when selected β€” the standard cadences (Every 12h, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly) are available to everyone.

How frequency affects credits

Each run can return posts. Returned posts use credits. A high-frequency search with a broad query can therefore use more credits than a lower-frequency or narrower search.

Best practices

  • Use Every 12h or Daily for active GTM monitoring.

  • Use Weekly for research topics or low-urgency monitoring.

  • Lower max results if a search returns too much volume.

  • Review result quality before increasing frequency.
