How do I process posts that already exist, not just new ones?

By default, old search results won’t trigger on new posts trigger. But what if you have a backlog of existing posts you want to run through your workflow? Here is how.

Option 1

Use Fetch Search Results with Scheduled Trigger

The key is to swap your trigger. Instead of the New Post Trigger (which only fires for new posts), use the Schedule Trigger Trigger with the Fetch Search Results node to pull previous results.

Watch your credits. Processing a large backlog of posts with enrichment can burn through credits quickly. Start with a small date range (24h or week) to test before processing everything.

Tip: You can use this approach alongside a New Post Trigger workflow. One workflow handles the backlog, the other handles new posts going forward.

Option 2

Manually trigger the workflows from Social Listening

Go to the required listening search and select the post you want. The button to manually trigger a post will appear.

Select the workflow you want to trigger.

This option is the best for specific posts, without using unwanted credits.
