I'm confused about the difference between Listening and Workflows
You are not the only one. This is one of the most common points of confusion when getting started with Trigify. Let us break it down simply.
The simple analogy
Listening = the ears. It finds and captures conversations happening on LinkedIn, Reddit, YouTube, and X.
Workflows = the hands. They take action on what your ears found.
Listening: finding conversations
Listening is where you set up searches to find relevant posts. This includes:
Keyword Searches - find posts mentioning specific topics across platforms
Profile Monitoring - track posts from specific LinkedIn profiles or company pages
Listening captures the posts. That is all it does. It does not enrich, filter, or send data anywhere.
Workflows: taking action
Workflows are where the magic happens. Once Listening captures posts, Workflows let you:
Enrich the poster with
Person EnrichmentorCompany EnrichmentFilter with
If Conditionnodes (e.g., only process posts from CTOs)Generate personalized messages with
Copy Writer AgentPush data to your CRM, Slack, or Clay
When do you need which?
Rule of thumb: Always set up Listening first. Then build a Workflow to process what Listening finds.
