Why are my credits being used so fast?

If you are watching your credit balance drop and wondering where they all went, you are not alone. This is the most common question we hear, and it usually comes down to not realizing which workflow actions cost what.

Credit costs per action

Every action in a Trigify workflow costs credits. Here is the full breakdown:

Action

Credit Cost

Search results (per post)

1 credit

Get Post Likes (per engagement)

1 credit

Get Post Comments (per engagement)

1 credit

Sentiment Analysis (per run)

2 credits

Podcast Transcript (per run)

2 credits

Person Enrichment (per run)

4 credits

Copy Writer Agent (per run)

5 credits

Company Enrichment (per run)

10 credits

Find Email (per run)

15 credits

As you can see, enrichment and email lookups are the most expensive. If your workflow enriches every single post and finds emails for all of them, credits add up fast.

Tips to reduce credit burn

Use If Conditions before enrichment.

Filter posts first so you only enrich the ones that actually matter. For example, check post sentiment or keyword matches before running Person Enrichment.

Limit max results per search.

In your listening searches, set a reasonable max results limit. You do not need to pull 500 posts per run if only 20 are relevant.

Set appropriate search frequency.

Running searches every daily when weekly would suffice burns credits unnecessarily. Match your frequency to your actual needs.

How to check your usage

Go to Settings > Credit Usage to see a breakdown of where your credits are going. This shows usage by action type so you can identify which workflows or nodes are consuming the most.

if you are on a plan, credits renew monthly on your billing date. If you run out, workflows will pause until your next renewal or until you top up.
