Why am I getting “User does not have a subscription” on API calls?
If your API or MCP calls fail with User does not have a subscription or Your subscription is not active, this explains why and how to fix it.
What’s happening
Trigify’s API and MCP access is gated by your subscription status, not your plan tier. Every paid plan includes API access — but only while your subscription is active (or in a valid trial).
This error is about status, not which plan you’re on. You don’t need to upgrade to a higher tier to get API access — you need an active subscription.
How to fix it
- Open Settings → Manage Plan and check your subscription status.
- If it’s past due or canceled, renew or resubscribe.
- Retry your API/MCP call — access restores as soon as the subscription is active again.
If your plan shows active but you still see the error, contact support with your workspace name and a recent request ID.
